The Kistler Group has introduced the new Integrated Joining System (IJSys), a compact, fully electric servo press. The system was developed in close collaboration with Cyltronic AG and is based on a licensed integration solution from Cyltronic.
With the new system, Kistler has achieved a fully integrated architecture: drive, controller, sensors, and process monitoring are combined in a single, compact system. For machine builders, this means a significant reduction in interfaces, components, and integration effort.
All-in-One as an Enabler
The foundation is Cyltronic’s integration philosophy: the servo motor, power electronics, and mechanical components are combined into a single functional unit. This architecture enables:
• Maximum compactness directly within the machine
• decentralized intelligence without additional control cabinet infrastructure
• reduced cabling and clear system structures
This type of integration is increasingly becoming a decisive factor, particularly in space-critical applications and modular machine designs.
The industrialization of a clear architectural approach
With the Integrated Joining System, Kistler demonstrates how integrated actuator technology can be seamlessly incorporated into an industrial mass-production product. The system combines precise force and position control with integrated measurement technology in a compact design, enabling easy integration into a seamless, coordinated system solution.
