Embedded Software-Engineer 80%-100%

Are you an expert in microcontroller-level software development looking for real technical challenges? Are you fascinated by drive technology and collaborating on integrated systems that bridge both software and hardware?

Are you an expert in microcontroller-level software development looking for real technical challenges?

Are you fascinated by drive technology and collaborating on integrated systems that span both software and hardware?

Here is where you will apply your expertise:

  • You will independently manage the embedded product software
  • You will advance our servo controller software – from initial concept to stable field implementation
  • You will help further expand Cyltronic's technological leadership in IO-Link servo drives.
  • You will actively shape the software for new products and contribute your own ideas
  • You will implement and optimize control and regulation algorithms
  • You will develop internal tools for testing, commissioning, and analysis
  • You will document your work so that others can build upon it
  • You will work closely with hardware development and other cross-functional teams

In return, we offer you:

  • Hardware you know from more than just a datasheet
  • The freedom to find clean solutions
  • Short decision-making paths
  • Debugging that challenges you (without driving you to despair)
  • A team that drives the company forward
  • Decisions based on reality rather than PowerPoint
  • Projects where you can say at the end: “I built that”

Ideally, you bring the following:

  • A degree (HF, FH, or ETH) in a relevant technical field
  • Solid experience in C and embedded development in STM32 environment – you know exactly what your code is doing on the hardware
  • In-depth knowledge of control and drive technology (bonus points if you’ve ever made a motor sing)
  • Experience in data analysis and scripting, e.g., with Python or GNU Octave
  • A good understanding of electronics and hardware – oscilloscopes over guesswork
  • PLC knowledge or the willingness to learn it
  • Professional proficiency in German and English (min. B2)

Your work environment

Starting in October, we will be moving into our newly renovated office at Bleichestrasse 32 in 8400 Winterthur.

You will share an office with one or two other electronics hardware developers.

We work on laptops, and everyone has at least two monitors at their workstation.

Your workstation also includes a test bench where you can test your software directly on the products.

Remote work is permitted, though we would love to see you in the office 2-3 days a week.

Coffee is provided. You bring the great ideas. Deal?
